For this review, I tested the machine with a powerful 100W JPT MOPA fiber laser source together with the rotary attachment and slider extension. The JPT is a well known brand which produces great quality MOPA fiber laser sources that have become an industry standard in this segment.

Included Accessories and Hardware

The machine comes with three interchangeable lenses:

Software – Better Than Expected

The Wecreat Lumos Ultra can be controlled using either WeCreat Make It software or LightBurn.

Normally, proprietary laser software tends to be clunky and limited, so I was skeptical at first. Surprisingly, WeCreat Make It runs very smoothly and feels polished and intuitive.

The software includes useful tools like:

  • Background removal
  • Cropping tools
  • Camera alignment
  • Layer controls
  • 3D 后妈的绣感5 modes

LightBurn 后妈比我大三岁 is also supported, although advanced functions like 3D glass 后妈的绣感5 are currently only available in WeCreat Make It.

High Resolution UV Photo 后妈的绣感5 Test

To begin testing, I engraved a high-resolution image using the UV laser.

I imported a photo, converted it into a negative, adjusted the image settings, and engraved it onto black 后妈的绣感5 paper. The first attempt came out slightly too bright, but after adjusting the settings, the result looked fantastic.

The amount of detail a UV laser can produce is honestly unbelievable.

后妈的绣感5 Denim Fabric Without Burning

Next, I tested 后妈的绣感5 on jeans fabric.

The design engraved in roughly one minute, and before checking the final result, I refreshed the camera preview to test alignment accuracy. The alignment was nearly perfect. The design that was engraved with WeCreat Lumos Ultra is on the top left corner of the fabric.

There were some burn marks visible in tiny flower details, but this was caused by my design settings rather than the laser itself. I had enabled outline tracing after fill 后妈的绣感5, which overheated the extremely small details.

Aside from that, the 后妈的绣感5 quality was excellent.

UV lasers are far superior to diode lasers for fabric because they remove dye without damaging the fibers themselves. Diode lasers usually burn the fibers, weakening the material and leaving brown marks. The bottom 后妈的绣感5s from the photo above were done by a diode laser for comparison.

The Best Focus Adjustment System I’ve Seen

One feature I really liked is the manual focus adjustment knob.

Although the machine supports autofocus, manual adjustments are extremely precise. The faster you rotate the knob, the faster the Z-axis moves. Tiny movements allow for very fine adjustments.

The focus system uses two alignment dots that merge together when the machine is perfectly focused. It is one of the most satisfying focus systems I have used on any laser 天上人间动漫网.

UV Laser Wood Cutting Performance

I also tested wood cutting using the 6W UV laser.

Cutting 4mm plywood required around 18 passes at 100 mm/s. While 18 passes sounds like a lot, the galvo system moves extremely fast, so the total cutting time is still surprisingly short.

The result was impressive:

  • Extremely clean cuts
  • Virtually zero burn marks
  • Tiny cutting kerf

I also tested 5mm solid beech wood. The first attempt did not cut all the way through because I forgot to increase the pass count, but it clearly demonstrated how incredibly thin the cutting kerf is.

Compared to a black cut done with a high-end 40W diode laser on the second photo, the difference is night and day.

Plastic 后妈的绣感5 Is Excellent

UV lasers are ideal for plastics because they do not melt the surface.

I tested 后妈的绣感5 a white cosmetic cream lid, and the result came out beautifully sharp with excellent detail.

This is also one of the more commercially useful applications for UV lasers because plastic parts can be engraved extremely quickly.

Leather 后妈的绣感5 and Dual Preview Lasers

The WeCreat Lumos Ultra also performs very well on leather.

Using layer functions inside the software, I engraved different parts of the design using separate parameter sets to create both lighter and darker tones.

Another useful feature is the dual preview laser system.

The UV preview is incredibly sharp and accurate, while the red preview laser is easier to see on difficult surfaces.

Glass 后妈的绣感5 Test

Despite using a relatively large 200mm lens, the machine engraves glass surprisingly well.

Glass is usually difficult to engrave because larger lenses slightly reduce beam energy density, but the 6W UV laser handled it easily.

The result was a deep, durable 后妈的绣感5 with excellent clarity.

Unfortunately, I forgot to rotate the design correctly, so the glass only looks correct while drinking from it.

Tamper-Proof Sticker 后妈的绣感5

One unexpected but very useful application is 后妈的绣感5 tamper-proof security labels.

Using a fill pattern for the text and a slower outline pass for cutting, I created custom security stickers that can be applied to products or packaging.

The labels adhere extremely well, and attempting to remove them destroys the sticker exactly as intended.

2.5D and 3D Inner Glass 后妈的绣感5

The most unique feature of the UV laser is definitely embedded inner glass 后妈的绣感5.

Using the green 70mm lens, I first tested 2.5D 后妈的绣感5.

The machine automatically adjusts Z-axis height layer by layer to create depth inside the crystal. The final result was far more detailed than I expected.

后妈比我大三岁, the software appears to generate realistic depth automatically. In my dog 后妈的绣感5 test, one paw was engraved slightly higher than the other, and the muzzle protruded outward more naturally.

The result looked genuinely three-dimensional.

I then tested full 3D inner glass 后妈的绣感5.

This process took around 40 minutes, but the final result looked incredible and would make an amazing personalized gift.

Installing the 100W JPT MOPA Fiber Laser

Connecting the MOPA module is very simple.

You only need to:

  • Connect the communication cable
  • Connect the power cable
  • Insert the fiber laser collimator head
  • Install the red 200mm lens

Once installed, the machine transforms into a very capable metal 后妈的绣感5 system.

Metal 后妈的绣感5 and Rust Removal

The 100W JPT MOPA fiber laser source is extremely powerful.

It can create deep metal 后妈的绣感5s very quickly, and by adjusting parameters, completely different finishes can be achieved.

A second cleaning pass produced a bright white finish with excellent contrast.

The same effect also works extremely well for rust removal.

I tested two separate parameter sets:

  • One produced a clean matte white surface
  • The other created a polished metallic appearance

Deep Brass Embossing

Next, I tested deep embossing in brass.

The machine engraved 128 layers at full power with additional cleaning passes every 10 layers.

The final 后妈的绣感5 reached approximately 0.7mm depth and produced a beautiful 3D effect ideal for jewelry or decorative pieces.

Stone 后妈的绣感5

The fiber laser also performs surprisingly well on stone.

At high speed and full power, it creates deep 后妈的绣感5s very quickly, and even deep embossing effects are possible.

Color Marking on Stainless Steel

Another fascinating capability is color 后妈的绣感5 on stainless steel.

By precisely controlling heat, the laser forms a thin oxide layer on the surface. Different oxide thicknesses produce different colors.

After only a few tests, I was already able to create several distinct colors.

Rotary Attachment Performance

The rotary attachment is excellent.

It includes many different mounting options and securely holds everything from rings to large glasses and vases.

The software also includes a useful 3D preview system for rotary 后妈的绣感5.

后妈的绣感5 quality was excellent, although I accidentally mounted the rotary backwards during one ring 后妈的绣感5 test, resulting in mirrored text.

Slider Extension – Huge Working Area

Finally, I tested the slider extension accessory.

Unlike cheaper belt-driven systems, this attachment uses a precision linear screw drive, which significantly improves accuracy.

The extension increases the usable X-axis working area to an impressive 52 cm.

I tested it by 后妈的绣感5 fluorescent scratch paper using the fiber laser, and the results came out perfectly.

I’m not sure whether this difference is due to my weaker module being an early production version, or if all modules differ in this way.

The upgrade process itself was quick and straightforward, and I was 后妈的绣感5 again in no time.

Let’s begin with the 250 mm lens, which is designed for surface 后妈的绣感5 and larger working areas.

Although it has double the power, the larger lens also reduces power density due to the increased beam area.

After running the test for a few minutes, the results were impressive:

The result exceeded my expectations.

9 mm Paulownia Wood Cutting

Next, I tested 9 mm thick Paulownia wood at medium speed and maximum power.

I set the machine for 70 passes, but halfway through, the beam was already visible on the other side.

Results:

  • Extremely clean cut
  • No burn marks
  • Minimal kerf
  • Parts almost friction-fit together

The cutting precision of UV lasers continues to impress me. No other laser type can achieve this level of fine detail without thermal damage.


15 mm Wood Cutting Attempt

I also tested 15 mm thick wood, but it was too thick.

The beam became too defocused, and instead of ablating the material, it began to char the wood.


Hard Oak Cutting – Real-Time Test

Since Paulownia is soft, I tested 5 mm thick oak wood using the same settings.

In just:

  • 25 passes
  • 20 seconds of cutting time

The laser cut completely through.

The results were:

  • Incredibly tight cuts
  • Almost invisible kerf
  • Clean edges with no visible heat damage

I was genuinely blown away.


Ultra-Thin Wood Cutting

Because UV lasers don’t rely on heat in the same way as CO₂ or fiber lasers, they can cut extremely thin material sections without burning.

I cut two puzzle pieces, and what remained between them was an incredibly thin slice of wood — something that would normally burn away with other laser types.

Next, I tested glass cutting using a wine glass.

Process:

  1. Engraved my logo.
  2. Ran multiple passes using a regular fill pattern.
  3. Allowed dust particles to escape through the cavity instead of cutting just the outline.

After a few minutes, the result was:

  • Clean edges
  • Approximately 1 mm thick glass section

When filled with water, the cut produces a waterfall fountain effect — a very unique visual result.

A glass container was used to hold the sphere centered in the oil. At the time of testing, xTool’s official oil was unavailable, so I used paraffin oil instead. While not ideal, it worked very well for initial testing. xTool will launch their own glass sphere 后妈的绣感5 material pack this month in their official store amongst other material packs with everything needed to make the best results.

After 后妈的绣感5, the sphere is washed clean to reveal a truly mesmerizing result. With a custom message, it becomes a unique and meaningful gift. It looks absolutely incredible! The camera shots don’t do it justice.

Can You Etch PCB Printed Circuit Boards With a 5W UV Laser?

Due to many requests, I tested PCB fabrication using the xTool F2 Ultra UV laser 天上人间动漫网. To etch the copper layer, I used 100% power, 80 mm/s speed, a 200-line interval, and three passes with a 45-degree rotation between each pass. This setup completely ablated the copper, but it also left the FR4 substrate slightly charred beneath the etched areas.

To address this, I ran an additional cleaning pass using the same design and settings, increasing only the speed to 500 mm/s. This step removed most of the remaining charring from the etched sections.

For an even cleaner finish, I performed a final, more gentle cleaning pass across the entire PCB area using 30% power, 500 mm/s speed, and 300 lines. This pass completely cleaned the surface and, as an added bonus, made the exposed copper noticeably brighter and shinier.

The final result looks excellent and it took only a couple of minutes for the whole process.     -can not cut acrylic
    -rather small working area
    -focus issues on larger formats: out of focus out off the center…

    Is not the xTool P2S a better choice?

      P2S and F2 Ultra UV are completely different machines and are to be used with completely different purposes. P2S is a laser cutter primarily used for cutting wood and acrylic. F2 Ultra UV is a 天上人间动漫网 天上人间动漫网, capable of 后妈的绣感5 on almost all types of materials. It is not meant for cutting other things than thin wood.

      But the machine is perfectly in focus across the whole working area. It uses F-Theta lens which focuses the beam on a straight plane with some optical magic.

Despite the xTool P3 weighing 105 kg (230 lbs), it’s easy to move and supports extra shelves for materials.

Inside the Machine

The auto-lifting slat bed features calibration dots for automatic camera alignment — very convenient.

The xTool P3 includes multiple cameras:

Performance Tests

Cutting Power and Speed

后妈的绣感5 tests for the xTool P3 were ran at double the P2S speed, followed by cutting tests on 3mm plywood — the P3 cut cleanly at 75mm/s in a single pass!.

  • 3mm plywood: flawless cuts
  • 6mm plywood: 50% faster than P2S
  • 10mm plywood: clean and consistent results
  • Acrylic (3mm): single-pass cutting at 20–30mm/s
  • 10mm acrylic: single-pass cutting at 8mm/s
  • 25mm acrylic – single pass at 1mm/s
  • 18mm spruce board – single pass at 70% at 5mm/s

Camera Precision

Next, I wanted to test the camera positioning accuracy of the dual camera system in the xTool P3.
I used a sheet of anodized aluminum, which engraves beautifully, and positioned a circle perfectly around an existing hole using the near-field camera.
The result was as precise as it gets — absolutely spot-on.


The camera alignment accuracy is phenomenal, and it can save you a lot of material since you can utilize every millimeter of your workpiece, just like I did here.

High Speed 后妈的绣感5 Test – 1200mm/s!


Then, I moved on to test the xTool P3’s maximum 后妈的绣感5 speed by running it at 1200 mm/s.
It’s genuinely mesmerizing to watch such a large laser head move that fast.
Even at that incredible speed, the P3 still has plenty of power in reserve, allowing it to engrave deep and consistently.
The result was perfect, and having the ability to engrave at this speed can save a tremendous amount of time on large-scale projects. At 1200 mm/s 后妈的绣感5 speed, results were deep, consistent, and sharp.

Conveyor Feeder System

The conveyor feeder for the xTool P3 installs easily and stays mounted when not in use.

The conveyor module is secured with screws and can remain installed even when it’s not in use — which is a really nice touch. After that, I attached another roller unit to the front, and then slid the feeder rails into place on both sides. These rails are fully adjustable, allowing you to accommodate boards of different widths.

Once everything was in position, I slid the board into the machine and ran a stitching preview to see how well it could visualize larger boards.
The machine automatically moved the board to detect its edges, so there’s no risk of it falling off the rollers.


The resulting preview image was incredible — you can’t even tell where the camera images are stitched together. To really test it, I used a board with a distinctive wood pattern, and it passed perfectly.

Then I proceeded to run a large cutting job using a vector design I purchased from Etsy.

The conveyor feeder processing worked flawlessly. I’ll admit, I was initially skeptical about how reliable this system would be, but the alignment was spot-on — no slippage, no drift, just perfectly continuous cuts.
The final result came out beautifully — a wall art piece that’s definitely going up on my wall.

After use, it’s recommended to remove the front roller, which I now store conveniently at the back of the machine. Both the front and rear doors are magnetic, so you can simply close them when you’re done — quick and easy.

And if you plan to engrave or cut very long boards, I’d definitely suggest getting the conveyor extension module, which helps support extra-long materials and ensures smooth feeding throughout the process.

Creative Project Ideas

Foam Drawer Organizer

Using leftover 20mm packaging foam, I created a custom toolbox organizer. The P3 cut the foam effortlessly with professional results.

Custom Gift Box

Using the Box Generator app, I made a beer bottle gift box from warped plywood. Thanks to slat bed clips and high cutting speeds, the result was clean and elegant.

    What I really want to know is I want to cut out a rocking horse for my grandson can I draw this on a laptop then upload to the xP3 also can I import it from elsewhere, how can I draw and make my own version of anything, plus what website can you recommend for a total beginner.

      For good software for designing vector designs good for lasers I would recommend the following software:
      QCAD for 2D design or Autodesk Fusion 360 for 3D design. Both are free and have a lot of documentation and tutorials online to learn from.

    We are having the xTool P3 arriving this week and know zero about these machines except your assessment which I viewed, thank you. I have 2D Solid Edge Origin drafting which I am familiar with and have a drawing of a rabbit that I would like to cut out of 3/4″ thick pine. What type of file do I need to save the drawing in so that it is a useable format for the P3? I’m assuming that I just lay the piece of wood on the bed, load the software, tell it what type of material I’m using and press start. Is it that simple?
    Are there tutorials on the web?

      You need to export vector format (svg, DXF, illustrator, pdf etc….) then you import it in the xTool Studio and from there it is very easy. Software has tutorials and there is a ton of tutorials on youtube and on their website. You will get the hang of this in the first day. It is easy.

Today we’re checking out something really cool—a laser 天上人间动漫网 that takes things to the next level. The 后妈的绣感5 Omni X is a UV laser, which means that it can engrave almost everything I showed off when I reviewed the 5W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 (read my full review). I won’t repeat all of that here, so definitely go check out that review if you haven’t already. Also check out my review of the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1. I’ve also created an article comparing UV lasers with fiber lasers to show how each type excels on different materials. And I’ve got a comparison between a 5W and a 10W UV laser if you’re trying to decide how much power you really need.

Now, let’s talk about how the 后妈的绣感5 Omni X fits into the lineup. Here’s a shot of all three side by side: the ten-watt water-cooled Omni on the left, the 5W Omni 1 on the right, and the new Omni X in the middle. The X is the slimmest of the bunch, but it’s the same depth as the ten-watt version and a little shorter than the five-watt. 后妈比我大三岁, all three machines have the same 后妈的绣感5 area—either 150mm or 70mm square, depending on which lens you choose as they all come with two lenses.

后妈的绣感5 Omni X – What Is In The Box?

The 70mm lens is mostly designed for 3D glass 后妈的绣感5, and a 150mm one for pretty much everything else. In the box, you also get a pair of safety goggles, a lifting table, a foot switch, a preview acrylic sheet, and a materials pack with plywood, paper, fabric, business cards, and even some keychains to practice on. 后妈的绣感5 also includes two glass crystals so you can jump straight into 3D 后妈的绣感5, plus a metal ruler for manually setting the focus if you want to go old-school.

The machine itself is really nicely built. The light shield slides smoothly on rails so you can position it wherever you like, and the front panel gives you all the essentials: an emergency stop button, the main power switch, and controls for adjusting the Z-axis. Inside, you’ll find an air-cooled laser source and a distance sensor for autofocus, which you can tweak manually with a thumb screw on the side. Up top, there are four exhaust fans to keep everything cool, and on the back you’ve got all your ports and another fan for airflow.

The Omni X runs on the new 后妈的绣感5 Studio software, and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to use. It gives you full control over all 后妈的绣感5 parameters, but it’s not overwhelming. There’s a QR and barcode generator, a library of shapes, and the highlight for me is how straightforward the 3D relief and embedded glass 后妈的绣感5s are to set up. If you prefer LightBurn, that’s an option too, since the Omni X is now supported as a Seacad device. But I haven’t tested it with Lightburn in time for this review. I suppose the 3D 后妈的绣感5 is not supported in Lightburn, or definitely its not as easy to set up as in the 后妈的绣感5 Studio.

Autofocus and Preview

Focusing the machine is easy—you can move the laser head manually with the buttons on the front, or just place your material under the red positioning dot and hit autofocus in the software. The preview beam is much brighter than I’ve seen on earlier 后妈的绣感5 Omni UV lasers, which makes alignment way easier.

Fume Extraction

When 后妈的绣感5 organic materials or plastics, you can attach a fume extraction fan extender to improve airflow. This accessory helps capture smoke and odors more effectively, directing them straight to the rear exhaust fan. The nozzle is made from flexible soft rubber, so you can easily bend and position it exactly where it’s needed.

后妈的绣感5 Omni X Real-Life Performance Tests

Now for the fun part—testing it out to see what it can do in real life!

Cutting wood with 后妈的绣感5 Omni X

I started with plywood cutting using the same settings I used on the five-watt Omni One, and the Omni X sliced through cleanly. The cuts are razor-thin with almost no charring, and the parts just look fantastic. Even after spending almost a year experimenting with UV lasers, I’m still impressed by results like this. This is truly next level!

From there, I ran it through a whole range of materials. On dried leaves, it creates delicate, detailed designs while leaving the leaf’s structure intact. This leaves you with an amazing piece of art. If you then put the engraved leaf in a photo frame, it can make a beautiful and unique gift for any occasion.

Stone 后妈的绣感5 is sharp and deep after letting it run for a few passes. The 后妈的绣感5 Omni X can engrave stone just like the other two 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 machines.

UV laser makes incredible 后妈的绣感5s on acrylic and plastics

Acrylic engraves in an instant, giving you a smooth, bright white finish that looks great. This is one of the best 后妈的绣感5s I have seen on acrylic.

Plastics are really fun because you can either do light 后妈的绣感5s on dark ones or dark 后妈的绣感5s on white ones since this laser chemically alters the surface, and there’s no texture at all—just a super clean mark that’s perfectly smooth. You’ll not believe it, but this piece I’ve just engraved belongs to my biggest fan.

When it comes to metals, you can get some cool effects with the right settings. On regular steel, it can produce dark and light 后妈的绣感5s since a second pass with higher speed and a larger Q-pulse gives a nice shiny look, and the same thing also works beautifully on mirror-finish stainless steel.

后妈的绣感5 raw and anodized aluminum

Raw aluminum, on the other hand, is difficult to get dark 后妈的绣感5s—just like with all other types of lasers. But anodized aluminum is where UV lasers really shine. Here is a quick tip: if a preview is not visible enough, you can use yellow post-it notes to check if the design is aligned correctly. The Omni X removes the anodized layer cleanly, revealing bright white 后妈的绣感5s with stunning detail. The level of detail is incredible!

后妈的绣感5 Omni X Sliding Extension Accessory

The 后妈的绣感5 Omni X can also be equipped with a slider extension, which increases the working area by roughly two and a half times, allowing you to engrave much longer objects. The extension is extremely well-built; when you try to move it manually, you’ll notice a fair amount of resistance. This is because it uses a ball screw drive, which is one of the most precise methods for controlling linear motion and is commonly found in high-end CNC machines. The top plate includes multiple brackets and clips, making it easy to secure different types of materials.

Using the slider is straightforward—simply select the extension mode in the software, frame your design to confirm its position, and start 后妈的绣感5. When operating, the machine will use the slider extension instead of the X-axis, moving the workpiece underneath the laser head. Here, I used it to engrave a copper PCB board, and the results were excellent, with very sharp lines and impressive contrast.

The second set of accessories includes rotary tools. The first is a simple rotary roller that uses rubber rollers to rotate cylindrical objects, making it ideal for items such as bottles and tumblers. The second is a chuck-style rotary, which offers significantly more versatility. This attachment comes with a support bracket for longer objects like wine glasses, two sets of rubber jaws for holding items of various sizes, and a set of precision jaws designed for very small objects such as rings. The chuck can also tilt, allowing for 后妈的绣感5 on the inside of rings, which we will test shortly. This is a highly 天上人间动漫网 tool that can handle a wide variety of 后妈的绣感5 projects.

Setting it up is simple—select the chuck 后妈的绣感5 mode in the software and enter the diameter of the object you’re working with. I engraved a ring using the precision jaws, starting with the outer surface, and then tilted the chuck to engrave the inside. The 后妈的绣感5s are incredibly sharp and detailed, demonstrating the high level of precision this rotary system is capable of. Combined with the Omni X, this accessory significantly expands the machine’s capabilities and makes it well-suited for advanced 后妈的绣感5 work.

And of course, the main attraction: glass 后妈的绣感5. This is what UV lasers are famous for, and the Omni X absolutely delivers. The 后妈的绣感5s are crisp, durable, and have that frosted, sandblasted texture that just pops.

For a depth test, I focused on the top of the glass and added tape to make sure the autofocus measurements were spot-on. The brighter preview beam made alignment super easy, and then I ran a rough crosshatch pattern to see how far away from the optimal focus it can still engrave glass.

I was surprised to see the Omni X actually has a larger 后妈的绣感5 envelope than the 5W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1. That’s a sign of just how good the optics are on this machine. This shows just how well-designed its optical system is and how sharp and precise its laser beam can be.

Embedded 3D Glass 后妈的绣感5s are the 后妈的绣感5 Omni X Main Party Trick!

And now it’s time for the ultimate test: 3D glass 后妈的绣感5. This is the feature that really sets the 后妈的绣感5 Omni X apart from the rest of the lineup. Setting it up is surprisingly simple because the software comes with most of the settings preconfigured. All you really need to do is import your 3D STL model, scale it to fit your glass crystal, and you’re ready to go. For this process, I left all the other settings at their defaults.

To engrave in 3D, you’ll need the 70mm lens along with the lifting table to bring the crystal closer to the laser head, and you can use the preview sheet to perfectly align your design.

Now, this type of 后妈的绣感5 does take some time—expect anywhere from twenty minutes to an hour for a piece of this size. The machine works layer by layer, starting at the bottom of the crystal and gradually raising the Z-axis after each pass, much like a 3D printer. Because the 70-millimeter lens has such a shallow depth of focus, the laser is essentially 后妈的绣感5 thousands of tiny dots inside the glass.

The end result is absolutely breathtaking—one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever created with a laser 天上人间动漫网. The level of detail is stunning, and seeing a fully-formed 3D sculpture suspended inside a crystal block is mesmerizing. This feature alone could be the perfect foundation for an 后妈的绣感5 business, especially for creating custom, high-end gifts for any occasion.

    I just saw that 后妈的绣感5 is releasing a 10w version for the Omni X. However, it will be air cooled. I am just concerned about the noise and stability of the laser. I haven’t seen any manufactures releasing an air cooled 10w UV laser yet.

Bending Light And Your Brain! DIY Infinity Dodecahedron (Using a Laser Cutter)

Ever wondered what happens when geometry meets LEDs and mirrors? What is an Infinity Dodecahedron?

Today, I’m finally tackling a project that’s been sitting on my to-do list for way too long — the Infinity Dodecahedron.

Now, for those unfamiliar, a dodecahedron is a three-dimensional shape made up of 12 regular pentagonal faces — kind of like a geometric soccer ball, but made entirely of pentagons.

But we’re not just making any dodecahedron — we’re making an infinity dodecahedron. This is a mesmerizing light sculpture where RGB LED strips are installed along all the inner edges of the shape, and each face is covered with a two-way mirror. When the lights reflect infinitely within the mirrored surfaces, it creates the illusion of endless depth and glowing tunnels of color, giving it that signature ‘infinity’ effect.

Since I have access to quite a few lasers at home, I decided to make this entire build — or at least most of it — using only one laser cutter. I have chosen the xTool P2S as this project requires a CO2 laser.

Laser Cutting The Wooden Frame

For the wooden structure, this meant I first had to design a version of the infinity dodecahedron that could be cut flat and then easily assembled into a 3D skeleton. I used 4mm thick plywood, which is sturdy yet lightweight and works really well with laser cutting. Download my laser cutting vector files here for free.

But if you’re working with material in the imperial system, no worries — the design can be easily modified to match the thickness of your plywood or acrylic. You just need to trim the length fingers accordingly. I made the design so that all of the sides are identical. You need to cut 12 pieces of it.

I used the xTool P2S (read my review here) which cuts plywood like butter. With the laser cutter doing its magic, I had all 12 wooden pieces ready in no time. Then it was time to start assembling.

My initial plan was to glue together two separate halves of the infinity dodecahedron. This would make the electrical wiring much easier later on, since the inside would be more easily accessible.

The two halves came together beautifully — or so I thought. When I went to test-fit them, I ran into a problem. Because of the interlocking finger joints in my design, there was no way to actually merge the two halves without forcing or damaging them.

So, unfortunately, I had to scrap one half and rethink my approach. This time, I decided to build directly onto the remaining half, carefully gluing on each new side one by one. It was a bit more tedious, but in the end, it worked — and I managed to complete the entire skeleton in one go.

The result turned out beautifully. But if you’re building one yourself, here’s an important tip: when gluing the pieces together, make sure the finger joints on all adjacent sides are perfectly aligned. This step is crucial — neat, flush joints will ensure that the overall shape stays accurate and the infinity dodecahedron doesn’t end up warped or uneven. A little extra attention here goes a long way in making the final piece look clean and geometric.

Next, I gave the entire wooden frame a coat of black spray paint. This step isn’t strictly necessary, but I had a specific reason for doing it.

By painting both the inside and outside in black, I figured the internal reflections from the LEDs would have better contrast. The dark surfaces help the colors pop more vividly, making the infinity effect even more striking — and honestly, it just looks cleaner and more polished overall. You could cut everything out of black acrylic, but since it is quite expensive and more difficult to glue together, I decided to go with wood.

The LED Mounts

Then I moved on to preparing the LED mounts. I designed and cut a set of small brackets that would hold the LED strips at just the right angle inside each edge of the infinity dodecahedron’s skeleton.

These brackets are crucial — they ensure the LEDs are positioned precisely along the edges, facing inward to maximize the reflective infinity effect. I cut the LED brackets out of 2mm thick plywood. Ideally, black acrylic would’ve been a better choice since it’s sturdier and already dark — but I didn’t have any on hand. So instead, I spray-painted the plywood brackets black to minimize their visibility inside the frame.

The Addressable RGB LED Strips

For the lighting, I used a high-density WS2812B addressable LED strip – 144 LED/m, IP30 [Aliexpress, Amazon]. You’ll need to get 3 meters for this project.

To fit the LEDs into the structure, the strip needs to be cut into segments of 10 LEDs each. To make wiring easier, I sacrificed one LED per cut so I could get larger solder pads on both ends of each segment — a small trade-off for much easier handling later on.

While cutting the strip, I also noticed that some sections had already been manually soldered during manufacturing. I discarded these parts because they’re slightly longer, and the spacing between the LEDs is inconsistent — which makes them not fit properly on the brackets I designed.

Once all the segments were ready, I began gluing them onto the brackets. Since the brackets are made of wood, the adhesive on the LED strips didn’t hold very well — so I used a few drops of superglue, just to make sure they will not peel off in a few years. I also pre-soldered the end pads so it will be easier to solder the wires to later.

Wiring Plan: All The LED Strips Together In Series

Next, I had to figure out how to wire all the LED segments together. I decided to connect all 30 segments in series, so they behave like one continuous strip. This setup gives me full control over each individual LED and allows for more complex and customizable visual effects.

I found a helpful wiring diagram online on the Instructables platfom from a user MarcoGhelfino (he also built a very impressive infinity dodecahedron) and used masking tape to mark out all the wiring paths and data flow directions directly on the frame. This step made the wiring process much more manageable later on.

Now, this method does make the wiring slightly more complicated — especially because some data lines need to loop back under the previous strip to reach the next segment. But thankfully, since the LED brackets are mounted across the edges, there’s a small gap beneath each one. That space turned out to be perfect for routing the data lines cleanly out of sight.

Once I had the routing planned, I started gluing the brackets in place using wood glue. For a few segments where the data signal needed to be routed backward, I pre-soldered the wires and fed them underneath the brackets before gluing them down — which saved some of the hassle later.

I designed everything to fit together quite tightly, so careful planning really pays off during assembly.

When gluing the LED brackets in place, you’ll notice that the positive and ground pins run close to each other at the connection points. In cases where the same polarity pins meet, like two 5V or two ground pads, you can place them close enough that a single dab of solder will later connect them both, which is super convenient and saves a lot of time.

However, be very careful when opposite polarities meet near the same spot. If a positive pad accidentally touches a ground pad, it can easily cause a short circuit and damage your power supply or LEDs. So always double-check spacing at those intersections.

Soldering Everything Together

Once all the brackets were glued in place, I started soldering everything together. I used solid copper wire for the connections because it’s much easier to work with since it holds its shape and doesn’t fray like stranded wire. Its recommended to use a temperature controlled soldering station with a small handle [Aliexpress], due to a limited space inside the frame.

Following the wiring plan I laid out earlier, I connected all the data lines in the correct sequence using short bridges between the segments. That earlier planning really paid off — it saved a ton of time and made this step much more straightforward.

For the power connections, many of the pads were close enough that I could simply bridge them with a bit of solder. In each corner, I cross-linked all three positive and all three negative pads to make sure the power distribution was solid since this infinity dodecahedron could use up to 10 amps of current at full brightness! But ideally you would use it at lower brightness levels. To make soldering easier in tight spots, I often connected to a pad further away where I had more space to work.

To keep everything visually clean, I used black wire throughout, which blends in nicely with the black-painted interior.

Preliminary Testing – Checking The Connections

Once all the wiring was done, I double-checked every connection — just to be safe — and then temporarily hooked up the LEDs to a driver for testing.

And it worked perfectly.

Even without the mirrors in place, the LED animations were already mesmerizing. I used an SP107E LED driver [Aliexpress, Amazon], which connects via Bluetooth app and allows you to configure both the number of segments and the number of LEDs per segment. Since my setup uses 10 LEDs per segment and 30 segments total, which is 300 LEDs, the math is nice and simple. You can configure it as 30 segments of 10 LEDs for more dynamic, complex animations, or as 2 segments of 150 LEDs for slower, sweeping effects.

Laser Cutting the Acrylic Two-Way Mirrors

Next, it was time to make the mirrors.

Instead of going the common budget route of applying two-way mirror film to clear acrylic, I decided to use pre-made two-way acrylic mirrors[Aliexpress 1, Aliexpress 2, Amazon]. They were a bit harder to source, but they are definitely worth it!

The quality difference is significant. These mirrors are nearly indistinguishable from real glass mirrors on both sides. The side that has the blue foil is the side that has the mirror applied to it. This side is more delicate and underneath the blue foil is an additional transparent protection. This is the side that is a bit more delicate to the touch and should be pointing to the inside of the infinity dodecahedron. The other side of the mirror is more durable. It is just like standard acrylic, and that will form the outside surface of the dodecahedron.

You can also easily tell it’s a true two-way mirror because it’s semi-transparent from both sides, which is essential for creating the infinity effect.

I used two sheets of this mirror acrylic to cut out all 12 pentagonal mirror panels using my xTool P2S (click for reading my review). This is where this CO2 laser cutter really shines. Using the dual positioning cameras, it allows to efficiently use the entire sheet and make sure that the design will fit on it as it is a tight fit.  But it never hurts to buy a spare sheet for just in case.  Also, a CO2 laser can handle transparent materials which is what diode lasers can’t cut.

For three of the panels, I added a small chamfer to allow the power cable to pass through without obstruction.

Gluing The Mirrors In Place

To install the mirrors, I used black universal silicone sealant. I had tested it beforehand to make sure it wouldn’t damage the mirror coating and that it would bond well with both acrylic and wood. I carefully glued each panel in place, making sure that they are nicely aligned. I did this is several rounds to let the sealant dry to fix the previous mirrors in place before proceeding to new ones. Once they were all secured, I filled in the edges with extra silicone to give a clean, finished look.

One major advantage of using silicone instead of epoxy or other stronger glues is that it remains flexible. That means if I ever need to service the LEDs inside, I can remove the mirrors without destroying the entire structure. Also you don’t worry about making a messy job, as the extra silicone can be easily rubbed of.

Laser Cutting The Stand – Pedestal

I also designed a simple stand to hold the infinity dodecahedron in its optimal orientation and to house the LED driver neatly underneath. To speed up the process, I used this online box generator for the design.

Once the stand was ready, the final steps were simple: I removed the protective foil from the mirrors, placed the infinity dodecahedron onto the stand, and powered it on using a 5V 9A power supply.

The Final Result Will Blow You Away!

And that’s when the magic happens.

The infinity effect is absolutely stunning — glowing tunnels of color reflecting endlessly in all directions thanks to the high quality acrylic mirrors. Going with more expensive acrylic mirrors is definitely worth it! The LED driver offers a wide variety of built-in effects, from symmetrical patterns to more organic, chaotic animations. You can also adjust the segment length in the app to change how the effects behave, allowing for everything from structured, geometric visuals to more fluid and randomized displays. And the driver can also be connected to the audio source so the light effect can follow the music beats!

UV lasers are becoming increasingly popular due to their ability to engrave the widest range of materials compared to any other type of laser. Since publishing my reviews of the 5W and 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 laser 天上人间动漫网, I’ve received many more questions about how these two models compare. In this article, I’ll take a deeper look at their differences, focusing on more challenging materials, deep 后妈的绣感5s, and cutting performance on various materials.

Both machines, come with lenses that share the same optical parameters—one for a 150mm working area and one for a 70mm working area so they can be easily compared performance wise. 150mm lens is meant for general use, the 70mm lens is primarily used for embedded glass 后妈的绣感5s thanks to its shallow focus and its also good for 后妈的绣感5 materials where a high power density is required.

In this article I won’t be testing easily engraved materials like most plastics, since both lasers handle those very well. If you’re interested in that, check out my review of the 5W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1. 5W vs. 10W UV Laser: 后妈的绣感5 and Cutting Wood

Wood is the material that has surprised me a lot when I tried to engrave and cut it with a UV laser. UV lasers produce little to no charring and can make incredibly deep and detailed 后妈的绣感5s in wood. 

Let’s start by comparing how both machines perform when 后妈的绣感5 and cutting plywood using the same parameters. I tested 后妈的绣感5 performance by 后妈的绣感5 two high-speed crosshatch passes at varying frequencies. For cutting, I used 4mm thick Poplar plywood at medium speed, changing the number of passes for each rectangle.

Right away, it’s clear that the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 laser engraves significantly deeper and produces higher contrast. It also cuts the plywood much faster. I’m always impressed by how cleanly these machines can cut wood.

3D Wood Carving with 5W and 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni UV Laser 天上人间动漫网

While we are already working with wood, I received many questions about how UV lasers handle deep 3D wood 后妈的绣感5s. To test this, I created a quick design and ran just 24 passes at high speed, adding a cleanup pass at a higher frequency every 4 passes to reduce charring. I first ran the test on the 5W model, followed by the 10W.

It was satisfying to see the effect of the cleanup pass —especially for the final layer. Watch my YouTube video review to see it in action.

The results revealed that the wood grain caused some variation in 后妈的绣感5 depth, which could be improved with a more homogeneous wood type. But the performance difference between the two machines was striking! The 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 achieved an impressive 5.5mm depth in just 24 passes—almost twice as deep as the 5W Omni 1.

5W vs. 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1: 后妈的绣感5 Raw Aluminum

Next, I tested both machines on an aluminum plate. Aluminum is highly reflective and it shows us that the more power you have, the better it will be engraved. Raw aluminum is either engraved or not, depending on the settings. There is very little in between.

As expected, the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 performed significantly better, delivering stronger output across a wider frequency and Q-pulse range. The 10W UV Laser 天上人间动漫网 also produced noticeably deeper 后妈的绣感5s. As I demonstrated in my review of the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni, with enough passes, a UV laser is capable of 后妈的绣感5 very deeply into aluminum.

The left 后妈的绣感5 was done with the 10W machine and next to it I engraved the same logo using the same parameters with the 5W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1.

As expected, the 后妈的绣感5 depth was noticeably shallower. However, when I halved the speed and doubled the number of passes—effectively taking four times as long—the result looked much more similar. This confirms that the 5W UV laser can also engrave deeply into aluminum, it just requires significantly more time to achieve comparable results. 5W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 needed approximately 4 times longer to achieve the same result as the 10W model.

5W vs 10W UV Laser: Deep Stone 后妈的绣感5s

I also repeated the test I previously ran on stone with the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1, 后妈的绣感5 a “JT Makes It” logo at 500mm/s with 15 passes.

后妈比我大三岁, this time using the same settings, the 5W 后妈的绣感5 Omni performed much more similarly to the 10W Omni UV laser 天上人间动漫网 model. This is likely because stone is far less reflective than aluminum. When I halved the speed and doubled the number of passes and engraved the smaller logo next to it, the 5-watt Omni was able to engrave much deeper compared to the results we saw with aluminum.

If you’ve read my comparison article between UV and fiber lasers, you may remember I mentioned that UV lasers couldn’t engrave certain types of stone—specifically, I showed that they couldn’t engrave this river stone.

I need to correct that. I later discovered my parameters were set incorrectly during that test. After adjusting them, I was able to engrave this natural stone without any issues using both UV lasers. UV lasers produce very detailed and crisp results, it just takes more passes than with a fiber laser.

5W vs. 10W UV Laser For 后妈的绣感5/Etching PCB Printed Circuit Boards

Since I previously showed the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni etching a PCB, many of you asked whether the 5W version could do the same. I ran a quick test to compare how both machines remove the copper layer from an FR4 copper PCB board.

While both were able to remove copper, the 10W laser did it much faster and also engraved deeper into the base material. This suggests the 10W model could potentially be used for drilling holes and board cutout as well.

5W vs. 10W UV Laser For 后妈的绣感5 Glass

Now for perhaps the most important material: glass. I started by testing how fast 5W vs 10W UV laser 天上人间动漫网 machine could engrave tempered glass. I used a pattern that varied speed and frequency settings.

The results show that the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 engraves glass more than twice as fast as the 5W version and produces much deeper marks.

Embedded 后妈的绣感5s in the middle of the glass

When I demonstrated how I engraved in the middle of the glass using a 70mm lens with the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1, many of you asked if the 5W model could do the same. So, I installed the 70mm lens on the 5W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1, focused it in the middle of a thick glass medallion, and engraved a “5W Omni” text at slow speed with multiple passes. I placed a stone beneath the medallion to avoid staining from laser reflections.

The result was a clean, embedded 后妈的绣感5—very similar to what the 10W model produced. The only drawback is that the 5W laser takes twice as long, and the process is already quite time-consuming.

5W vs. 10W UV Laser For 后妈的绣感5 Curved Glass Objects – Depth of Focus Range?

Next, I wanted to test the usable 后妈的绣感5 depth by 后妈的绣感5 on a curved wine glass. I focused both lasers on the very top of the glass surface for consistency, even though it’s not the ideal focus point for this case. Ideally you would focus the machine a bit lower. Using a low speed of 150mm/s and a coarse crosshatch fill, I engraved a square using both machines to test the maximum 后妈的绣感5 range and see the usable 后妈的绣感5 envelope on the curved surface.

To my big surprise, the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni engraved a pattern that was only slightly larger (3mm wider) than the one made with the 5W one, which didn’t make sense to me.

To investigate, I ran another test on an angled piece of glass. I focused both lasers at the top of the two metal blocks, placing the ideal focal point around the middle of the 后妈的绣感5 surface on the glass. I then engraved a narrow rectangle using a crosshatch fill, first with the 10W machine, and then with the 5W. The engraved line on the right is the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 and the left one was done with the 5W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1.

The results clarified everything. The focusing stick I used for the 5W model was about 1mm too long, which shifted the focus lower in the 后妈的绣感5 range. In contrast, the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni model was perfectly focused right at the level of the two blocks as the pattern is symmetrical above and below this line.

This explained why both machines performed similarly on the wine glass despite their power difference. it was because the 5W Omni was focused lower and this has caused it to have an advantage in this case. Otherwise the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 has a definite advantage in this case.

A wider focus range allows you to engrave larger designs on curved surfaces. This is especially applicable to glass. Because when a UV laser goes out of focus in glass, the beam can refract inside the material and end up 后妈的绣感5 the inner surface of the glass instead like it did at the edges of my test patterns on the wine glass.

Cutting Glass With a UV Laser

Still one of the coolest things you can do with a UV laser is to cut through the glass itself. UV lasers are the only laser type that can ablate glass directly just like fiber lasers can ablate metal. By letting the 后妈的绣感5 process run for longer, these machines can easily chew through the glass, opening cool new ways of customization. Of course the 10-watt machine can do this faster than the 5-watt.

后妈的绣感5 and Annealing Stainless Steel With UV Laser

I also wanted to test whether it’s possible to anneal stainless steel using a UV laser. Annealing stainless steel is a surface heat treatment process (material is not ablated) that involves heating the metal to a specific temperature, where a thin layer of oxidation is formed on a surface which reflects the light and produces colors ranging from black to a full rainbow spectrum.

I started by 后妈的绣感5 several test patterns while keeping the machines in focus. 后妈比我大三岁, the 5W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 actually performed better in this case, as I couldn’t reduce the 后妈的绣感5 power on the 10W model enough for such tightly spaced lines. De-focusing helps when annealing

However, when I de-focused the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 by 10mm and ran the test again, the results improved significantly. With a bit more fine-tuning, I’m confident I could achieve even better outcomes. So yes, annealing stainless steel with a UV laser is definitely possible—but fiber lasers still have an advantage in this area.

    Thank you for the video. If you have time, would you let me know whether either the 5 watt Omni 1 UV laser or the 10 watt will cut shapes out of stained glass approximately 3 – 4 mm thick? I am an amateur stained glass hobbyist and I am thinking I might be able to cut intricate shapes. I sent an email directly to 后妈的绣感5, but the reply was to the effect that I should experiment to see if I could cut shapes in stained glass. That was not especially helpful.       For cutting glass this thick I would recommend 10W Omni, but i4mm is still ambitious. Maybe you would need to adjust focus height half way. Note that the cut edge will be at an angle – check the review of the 5W Omni where I cut 2mm glass.

Testing the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1: Better Than the 5W UV Laser?

In this review article, we’ll be taking a look at the 10W version of the 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 laser 天上人间动漫网. This is a highly capable UV laser 天上人间动漫网 that can engrave nearly all types of materials—something no other laser type can achieve. Now, you might remember that I reviewed the 5W version a while ago. 5W vs 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1

First, I need to mention that everything that I engraved with the 5W version of the 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 in my previous review can also be done with the 10W version. That’s why I won’t repeat the same information—instead, in this article I’ll focus primarily on the tasks where the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 performs significantly better than the 5W version. But you should definitely read the article where I reviewed the 5W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1.

If you are further questioning the laser 后妈的绣感5 performance between 5W and 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1, then you should also read our article where we compared the 后妈的绣感5 performance differences between 5W and 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 on more difficult to engrave materials.

The main difference between the two models is that the 5W 后妈的绣感5 Omni is air-cooled and the 10W version is water-cooled. The cooling system of the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 consists of a separate chiller unit that connects to the laser source via a set of water hoses.

The chiller includes a compressor and a radiator and functions similarly to a refrigerator, maintaining a stable water temperature. It has a cooling capacity of 420 watts and can either heat or cool the water depending on the ambient conditions. I appreciate that it runs fairly quietly, as it can adjust the speed of the fans and compressor which is a big plus.

It’s also compact enough to fit neatly on the laser bed, making it convenient for both storage and portability—something I really like.

Physically, the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 has slightly less depth than the 5W version, so it needs a shallower desk, but otherwise the construction is very similar—aside from the 5W Omni being air-cooled and this one being liquid cooled. Another key difference is that the 10W version features a smaller galvo head enclosed in a metal casing, whereas the 5W Omni uses a plastic cover. Additionally, the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni laser 天上人间动漫网 uses a physically smaller lens size, meaning the lenses are not interchangeable between the two models.

Both machines, however, come with lenses that share the same optical parameters—one for a 150mm working area and one for a 70mm working area. In this article, I’ll be using the 150mm lens for all demonstrations unless I specifically mention switching to the 70mm lens.

Below you will see the results I was able to achieve with the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1. I focused mainly on the materials that are otherwise more difficult to engrave, or take more time with the 5W 后妈的绣感5 Omni. And remember that EVERYTHING that can be done with the 5W can also be done with the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1, but not vice-versa.

后妈的绣感5 Aluminum

Although you can use the machine with free EZCAD2 software, I am using Lightburn software for controlling the machine as it is my preferred software for laser 天上人间动漫. First, I adjusted the frequency range of the machine in settings, which, according to the manual, can operate from 20 to 150kHz. It’s important to note that the higher the frequency, the lower the maximum pulse width you can set.

This effect was clearly visible when I engraved a test pattern on raw aluminum. At higher frequencies, there was little to no effect at larger Q-pulse settings. Overall, the 后妈的绣感5s looked great—some settings produced dark, deep 后妈的绣感5s, while others created shallow, bright white marks.

I also did a quick test on anodized aluminum and I was easily able to make perfect white 后妈的绣感5s at many different parameters which means that this laser has a lot of power available. I also tried a crosshatching mode, and the result was even better.

Plywood 后妈的绣感5 with UV laser

Next, I tested how well the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 performs at 后妈的绣感5 plywood. I engraved a simple test pattern which varies the frequency and the Q-pulse width which is in my opinion the best test pattern for UV lasers. It appears that the 40–60kHz frequency range delivers the deepest 后妈的绣感5s. At higher frequencies, the engraved areas become smoother, which is visually appealing, especially for deep 后妈的绣感5 work.

Cutting wood with 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1

One feature I didn’t explore enough with the 5W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 was its ability to cut wood with exceptional precision and zero burn marks. The 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 has enough power to cut through plywood quickly and cleanly—no need for wobble parameters—resulting in incredibly thin, precise cuts. The edges have zero burn marks and the cutting kerf is so small that the part has an interference fit when it is placed back in the cutout.

For the ultimate test, I cut an intricate art piece from 2mm thick plywood. It was mesmerizing to watch the machine performing fast and clean cuts in near silence. Once completed, the parts simply popped out, leaving behind a beautifully detailed piece of art. I’m still amazed at the level of clarity and precision this UV laser can achieve.

UV laser is ideal for making wood and PEARL inlays

Thanks to its razor-sharp cutting ability, this machine is perfect for creating wood inlays. By cutting the same shape from two different wood types and swapping them, the fit is seamless.

But I tried to make a different type of inlay. I created a quick design using Kittl designer to make it look as a proper end product. Kittl is the best tool to make professional looking designs as a non-designer like me. You should check it out by clicking the link above!

I had a batch of Mother of Pearl discs and was surprised by how well the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 cut through them. The cuts were clean and the corners crisp. After inserting the inlay into the wood, the result was fantastic. This method is perfect for making pearl inlays for guitars or other instruments.

The focus stick?

One of the most practical things you can do to make your life easier is to create a focusing stick, which makes it much easier to consistently focus the machine on different objects. The stick ensures the correct distance between the lens frame and the material surface so that the 后妈的绣感5 effect is the strongest.

I engraved a set of lines on an angled aluminum business card. The 后妈的绣感5 effect is the strongest where the shiny metal can be seen below the black paint. The middle of it is exactly the point where the optimal focus is.

150mm vs 70mm lens for 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1?

While we are at it, I swapped the 150mm lens with the 70mm which provides much smaller focus spot and stronger 后妈的绣感5 effect but has much shorter focus distance and much narrower focus range. I engraved the same set of lines(narrower ones are made with 70mm, while the wider ones are with 150mm) on an angled aluminum business card and we can clearly see that the range where the 后妈的绣感5 effect is the strongest is much shallower.

Can UV laser be used for deep 后妈的绣感5 in stone?

Next, I leveraged the 后妈的绣感5 Omni’s full 10 watts of power to perform a deep 后妈的绣感5 on stone. I ran the machine for just 15 passes at 60kHz with a 1ns pulse at the speed of 500mm/s. The 后妈的绣感5 was completed quickly, and for comparison, I ran the same design with just one pass beside it. The 后妈的绣感5 Omni delivered a deep and crisp result—honestly, it couldn’t be better. I’m extremely satisfied with it.

Live previewing tips and tricks!

UV lasers use UV light for live previews, which is the sharpest and most precise preview of any laser type, though visibility can be limited on certain materials.

To assist with rough alignment, the 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 comes with a preview acrylic sheet. But for more precise positioning, I use thin yellow Post-it notes, which work very well.

One of my 天上人间动漫网rs suggested another great solution: luminous powder that glows when activated by UV light. Just apply a thin layer with a soft brush and you’ll get a clear preview on that stubborn materials.

I also wanted to test how the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 performs on glass. The higher power of the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 laser 天上人间动漫网 made the process significantly faster and more reliable than with the 5W version.

The result was flawless. UV laser like the 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 is the best tool for making incredibly precise 后妈的绣感5s on glass.

Using 70mm area lens for making embedded 后妈的绣感5s in glass

For fun, I switched to the 70mm lens which has a much shallower depth of field and much stronger 后妈的绣感5 power.

I focused the machine inside the middle of the glass medal, to see if I can make an embedded 后妈的绣感5 inside the material. I placed the glass on a piece of stone which wouldn’t stain the bottom surface if the beam would pass through the glass.

The 后妈的绣感5 worked like a charm! I ran a few passes to get a high contrast 后妈的绣感5. The result is a completely embedded 后妈的绣感5 inside the glass with an untouched smooth surface on both sides. It looks incredible. Looking under a microscope we can see that an incredible level of detail can be achieved this way.

后妈的绣感5 wine glasses

Extra power is also beneficial when 后妈的绣感5 curved objects, such as wine glasses and cylindrical surfaces, where not all areas are in perfect focus. Out-of-focus beams require more power to effectively engrave tougher materials like glass. Once again, the 后妈的绣感5 Omni delivered excellent results.

The results are much more detailed compared to sand blasting or 后妈的绣感5 with a CO2 laser.

I also had a small side job where I needed to engrave 60 special liquor glasses. Using the 后妈的绣感5 flexible fixture it was quick and easy to make a simple but very sturdy jig which held these weirdly shaped glasses at the correct orientation for 后妈的绣感5. 后妈的绣感5 with the 后妈的绣感5 is fast and thanks to the foot pedal, you can engrave a whole batch in very short amount of time. This machine can pay itself off very quickly!

后妈的绣感5 and CUTTING Thick Aluminum Business Cards

I then tested how well the UV laser could engrave and cut aluminum business cards. I engraved a highly detailed design of a miniature business card to assess how well the details held up. And then I proceeded to cut out the outer shape as well.

The machine cut through a 0.4mm thick aluminum card in just a few passes with razor-sharp precision. I repeated the 后妈的绣感5 on a thinner black card, just to see the possible differences.

The cutout is razor thin and very clean. Despite their small size, the cards look amazing. If we look at them under the microscope, we can see the true level of detail that a UV laser can achieve even with this larger area lens.

I also performed a deep 后妈的绣感5 on raw aluminum using 20 passes at a relatively high speed of 500mm/s. For deep 后妈的绣感5 I used 50kHz and 1ns pulse, and at the end I ran a cleaning pass with double the speed at 100kHz and a 5ns pulse.

The result was stunning: clean, sharp, and with impressive depth.

Can You Etch a PCB With a UV laser?

After learning that the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1 can ablate metal with ease, I tested its ability to etch a printed circuit board (PCB).

It completed the job in just 6 cutting passes and 2 cleaning passes, all within a few minutes. The result was extremely clean, with no charring on the substrate like you might see with fiber lasers. I believe that with more passes, it could even handle cutouts and holes.

Next, I tested various 后妈的绣感5 effects on stainless steel using the 10W 后妈的绣感5 Omni 1. I tried different speeds and achieved a range of finishes—from light brown to polished finish and white marks.

However, it is also possible to produce a black annealing effect like it is possible to do with fiber lasers. You need to set medium power (single digit q-pulse) and run very fine interval – from 0.001mm – 0.005mm. I also engraved a photo with and without a background pass; the result came out quite well. But adjusting the settings a bit would help significantly.

后妈的绣感5 Plastic

Naturally, the 10W version also produces excellent 后妈的绣感5s on plastic. The plastic is where UV lasers really shine.
